PROGRAMMING NOTE from the Author and Archivist

So obviously I just stopped blogging on this platform. I'll get back to it eventually. Or not. I'm taking a break from all social media. It seemed necessary for my mental health.

The last few years have been busy and … challenging:

- 2015 Happened.
- 2016 Let's call it The Lost Year. (Obviously words failed me.)
- 2017 about broke me. Literally. Mentally.
- 2018 was ridiculous, proving 2017 was just a warm up. (Good thing I was already broken so it couldn't hurt as much.#2018TrashCanFire I thought things were going okay, but maybe not?)

- 2019 was such a blur. I know there were highlights, but then stuff happened and carried into the next year...

- And then in March#2020 really took a turn. Who can even categorize 2020? Do we dare?

I kinda want a do-over of some of the last few years. But life doesn’t work that way.

So for now, I'm hunkering down. Regrouping. Trying to stay safe and sort some stuff out.

Stay safe everyone. Stay well.

Halloween Wrap Up 2011

In the hustle and bustle of this fall, I totally didn't get to do my usual back-to-school look-at-how-cute-and-BIG all my nieces and nephews have gotten this year.

So, SURPRISE! We're going to do a Halloween ReCap instead! BOOO!

From the Mid-West, we have the St. Chuck Crew:
Thing 1 and Thing 2 as supervised by a Cat in the Hat. Please support the Cat's efforts to raise funds for the Elgin Youth Symphony Orchestra (EYSO). I hear they have a great violin section, and that the Things are coming along well in soccer, figure skating, and strings of their own.

From the Northern climes of Maine, we have a motley bunch of Gray-ers: One very tough looking Casco Bay Hockey Player helped to escort a Black Kitty, a Witch, and a Ballerina Witch on their appointed rounds -- despite the early season ice and a foot of snow. All of the witches and kitties could also have gone as hockey players. Apparently we need to watch out for some future NHL Bruins players, not to mention get that Ladies NHL league off the ground. (Tim Horton's is NOT a sponsor of this section of the post, but could send over some donuts...Just saying.)
Moving West, I'd like to introduce a future player for the Boston Red Sox. Forget Spring Training in Florida, or even the Cape Cod Summer League, there's an expansion group developing in the deserts of Nevada. Drew's a bit mature for his age with the facial hair, but isn't he so darn cute?
He's already mastered the pose for his baseball card.
Finally, we're going to move up to the NorthWest - to Iddyhooooooooooo, to say Trick or Treat with yet another Witch and Kitty Cat, who were escorted by their very own Dragon. He was supposed to be scary and flame away all the ghouls and goblins, but.... he's.just.so.cute --- you want to pinch his little cheeks. Watch out, though. Big Sister Elle's Claws will keep you far enough away, or Big Sister Amber will put a midnight hex on you.
Actually, the most scary thing about these girls are how breath-taking they ALREADY are. You can almost see 10 years into the future and feel sorry for their parents and sibling(s) and other relatives. They are heartbreakers already. (Not that I'm biased or anything. No..... Not me.)Nathan's gotten so big since I saw him at Christmas. He's a little dude now, not a just-learning-to-crawl baby. That's the scariest thing to me: the speediness of the passage of time. Hope you all had a wonderful back-to-school early fall and a very candy-filled Halloween!
